ありがとう、素晴らしい音。 1973年と聞きました。おもしろいゲーム。おめでとう。
You need to strum across all the strings. Use something heavier gauge on an acoustic. You’re getting it. 👍 open c tuning. CGCGCE
Hello. How they compare playing, as you had the guitars onto your hand. RUclips compresses, and etc. I have a Burny and I find the L8001 very good.

Great guitar work. Thanks
This is so cool, I was there that night! Thank you for posting!!!
ギターすごいです!

うわ懐かしい・・・ NHKのWRC放送で使われていたそうですが、北海道民としてはAIR-Gで放送されていたモータースポーツラジオ番組のテーマ曲の印象の方が強いです。
Is open C????
Thanks for sharing.
Any idea what kind of magnets are in the '80 VH-1? I have an 88/89 and it lacks something... thinking about switching magnets from ceramic to ALNICO but not sure which one to use.
sounds really good. so on this model how high do you have to have the preamp to get this kinda distortion? and do you have the master up much? also if wonder a typical JCM 800 lead amp can be voiced (modded) to sound more like this ? Its got less fizziness and more guts. cool viseo :)
Open G?
6L6gc or kt66?
I’ve got a PCM41 for sale rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F163281061925
Nicely done. Will be my first alternate tuning song.
love this amp, I got one :)
Ivan Stankoci , This isn’t vintage or contemporaly, but I like this.
Thanks ! Rare One! OZZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ^..^
What guitar is that ?
This is assembled by me. Neck is Fernandes RST-50(Japanese 80s guitar), Body is Fender Japan ST62(repainted by me), pick ups are rewired Schecter F400 assembly, thank you!
hey I hope you are doing good. So like where is the blue strat where Hal played that private investigation in alchemy?? was he playing Mark's Blue Farnandes strat????
Great playing and great looking guitar! Any interest in selling the guitar? you can email me at johnhop18@gmail.com Thx, John
Nice guitar!Japan made?
Than you. This guitar is Greco made in Japan in 1984.
Great looking and sounding guitar!!!
Hi do you use some effect ? What kind of amp ? Thanks
I used modified '76Marshall Super Lead only. It was modified to cascade circuit.
muy bien tengo ese ampli la verdad que prefiero usarlo sin pedal en mi canal podras ver un test algo alli mas o menos sin pedal checalo si quiere lml
sorry, I couldn't understand Spanish.
I see! Thank you for this comment.
Normally this amp doesn't need pedars. But I use pedal as tone filter. That's needs RATT sound.
How do you like the L5001 over the L5000?
I like both. I feel L5000 is little trebly and harder than L5001. L5001 is as 60s, L5000 is as 70s.
okay thanks! How is the hight of your pickups set? I own a RST-80 and have Trouble to adjust them.Just soo much Output.
In my case, spacing between string and pole piece is about 4mm at front, 1.5mm at rear. Please try and search your best point.
Ill check it. Where did you get those L5001 from?
I got it YAHOO auction in Japan.
No pedal? I love that tone! I use a fulltone bass drive to get that kind of sound out of my 70's Ampeg V4b.
Yes, that's no pedal. Marshall has great distortion sounds.
●●● 12ax7 WHEN ??? 12au7 WHEN ??? Not any indication ! ●●●
Cant' you hear the difference? Please see caption.
I actually thought I had recently bought this guitar after seeing it listed on Ebay. However the seller cancelled the order. Did you just buy this guitar?
Did you wanted to buy this guitar? Sorry sorry, I didn't know, I was little faster than you. I was searching for early KAMIKAZE. At last, I find it at a guitar shop last month. Actuary I want KAMIKAZE 1,2,3. But this is very good guitar.
Please let me know if you prefer a Kamikaze 3. I have one I would be willing to trade if you are interested.
My KAMIKAZE is Very good guitar but have one bad point. That neck head is refinished.Original was maching kamikaze, but it painted to black, and cracking arise.(wood isn't cracked, onry paint ) Even so you want this, please send E-mail to me.> rb79pp1@yahoo.co.jp
Fantastic. Was this amp like this when you got it? Would be interesting to analyse the circuit and see what they had done. Martin is very underrated I think, he's one of my favourites
See here -> ameblo.jp/masahall/entry-12049515947.html some photographs are showed there. I think, mains connector, fuse lamp, output jack were modifyed by Martin, but cascade circuit and master volume modify were done by second owner.
masahall thank you for the link very interesting photos. I will try and find a page translation app so I read more thoroughly. It is an interesting time for Marshall amps of this period. I think they were doing modifications for artists but they were quite simple compared to what we see now. I think the model 2144 was a production version of some of these mods, but there wasn't as much gain as required and they came to the 2203 design with the larger cathode resistor on v2. Thankyou!
It's very interesting comment for Marshall amp. Thank you!
A tad too much gain, otherwise pretty close ;-)
Yes, I see that. Malcom's guitar tone is more clean. I 'll keep trying.
Sounds Superb dude!!
Thank you!
eq setting for van halen?
NO. This is my taste.
what I meant to ask is, what are the eq settings in the video when you played van halen licks? thx anyway
At this time, eq was..TREBLE:4 MIDDLE:10 BASS:2 PRESENCE:10
thx man, great info. hey, if you don't mind, man, can you tell me what eq settings in marshall jcm 900 slx would be perfect for slash tone? fyi, I've been trying to achieve slash's tone with my Gibson slash afd through jcm 900 slx (with 5881 power tube) and 1960 cab (with celestion g12t75). the dual gain in this amp are confusing, man. my goal : slash's tone in 90s or velvet revolver tone. thx man, you're great
Sorry to late to reply for you. I think JCM900 SL-X is very flexible amp. According to my experience, if you set Sensitivity (2nd gain) to high(15-20), the tone become dirty. But set it to low(10-15), tone beccome crean. Don't set it to 20! The tone become blur. To make Slash like tone , you should be start to set Volume(1st gain) around 5, and Sensitivity (2nd gain) around 15.(all at 12 o'clock) If you raise Volume, the tone become fuzzy and lose the treble. Raise Sensitivity, increase distortion without losing brightness. Let's try to find the combination of 2 gain controls.
In the 1935 cabinet, are those old G12-65s or new 65s?
They are old 80's. Original equipments.
I think I am definitely hearing camera break up sound in the video. Maybe that is why I am hearing a kind of fuzzy tone from the speakers.
No no, thats fuzzy tone is generated from cranked Marshall.
You mean it was "generated" from cranked Marshall?
Sorry to rate to reply. That means , fuzzy tone was made in Marshall amp,(not in speaker. )
nice Blackmore sound
Thanks for your comment.
"mod to OD-1" What did you do to the pedal ?
I repraced few registor and capacitor. SD-1 has similer circuit as OD-1. If you want to know it, serch the information in google.
witch speaker is 2 and 3?
2,3 is celestion G12-65. It' have bright tone.
Marshall sounds pretty sweet man!!
Thanks!(Sorry too late to response)
So do you like strats lol! Great sound, I've used a ts9 for years but you've convinced me I need to try one of these. Thanks for the demo :)
+stratznhatz OD-1 has a unique tone of the midrange . It is, will be kept moderately unpleasant treble and bass of the Marshall stack. So rather than a booster, it is a large role as a tone filter.
Is that a Ratt song? Which one?
+CM rocker This is "Lay it down"
Cool! You don't hear Boston enough on youtube!
can you tell me how I can seting this tone in guitar rig 5
+adam pierson I don't know about guitar rig 5. Simply , Marshall 1959 type is better.
ratt song .
+robert rogers Yes! I like that !
what speakers are in the cab?
+Emil Malaniak Maybe G12-65,mid 80s.
The 2203 sounds edgy and raw, in a really good way. The 1959 is nice as well. I have a 1959RR and I absolutely love the character of that amp. But by the time I get a decent crunch from it it's so Frickin' loud that shit is falling of the neighbors walls three houses down the the block. So i use a couple of different dirt pedals in the front end, and even so the character of the amp still shines through. No other amp I have does what my Marshall Super Lead 100 MkII does. I must mention that I had Mercury Magnetics wind me a 2.2K primary output transformer (and a better choke), which gets a Marshall a lot closer to those early EVH tones. I left the NF on the 4 ohm tap, as that what was stock on the 1959RR. Very lively amp to play, lots of gain in the cascade channel. Something akin to your 2203. These amps respond very well to NOS preamp tubes as well, just another component to the recipe. The list goes on and on and on and.... well, you get the picture.
+Viking Mike Thank you for the comment. My 2203('80) is modfied only master vol to post phase inverter. Valves are recent Electronic Harmonics. 1959RR is good amp, I wanted it...but sold out. So I get 2203. Because I think that's simirer to 1959RR. Bytheway,'76SUPER LEAD is milder than 2203. I think the difference is capaciter in circuit.
From what I have read about EVH's live rig from the earlier days, Edward was using these same speakers. The newer version of these don't sound as good. This version of G12t-75, in my opinion sound really nice and more like a greenback. I bet they sound even better the more you crank up the power from a 100 watt valve amp. Great playing by the way, excellent attack on the strings to get that 'raw' edgy tone from the B Maj. chord. But I guess it isn't B Maj. anymore if you tuned down a half step like Ed. Good video/post. I'm keeping my eye on Craigslist for a quad set of these, being almost thirty years old they'd sound totally dope being broke in. Perfect for early Van Halen, Priest, Maiden etc.
+Viking Mike Than you for this comment. I didn't know that, EVH used G12T-75! I heard that G12-65 and earlyG12T-75 have similer tone as greenback. 80sG12T-75 is no premiun price. I hope you can get it!
+masahall I was looking at the diagrams of one of his(EVH) earlier live rigs. The cabs were listed as being loaded with g12t-75 Celestions. I can't remember what year this would have been, but it makes sense considering how loud he plays live. I just picked up his EVH brand 4x12 cabinet, in black, with the EVH branded Celestion drivers. They are essentially the Heritage Series G12M Greenbacks, 20 watts/96 db sensitivity. I use this cab with a 50 watt Marshall TSL Frankensteined amp that use to be a combo, turned into a head. With NOS preamp tubes and Mercury Magnetics transformers and the EVH cab, this rig is a stand alone. I only use a MXR Carbon Copy bright in the loop, modded crybaby to a optical compressor to the front end. Stellar sounding rig, the cab is easily 80% of the satisfaction factor.
+Viking Mike I used Marshall 1959Super Lead(1976) amplifire in this movie. It's modified cascade connecting pretube, like as 1959RR. And I used no peadal, only stright into amp. EVH was used 2 amp in earlyer. First one was used as overdrive preamp, thats line levewl output into second amp. Sometimes he used MXR Distortion+. Later he used JOSE mod amp. That has diorde clipper circuit and master vol. I think EVH wanted distortion but louder voliume. He wanted to control voliume level. Bytheway, I think Peavey 5150 is better amp to get EVH sound. Cascade and mastervol modefied old 1959 or 2203(befor JCM800) are better too. And Marshall JCM900 is similer to JOSE mods.
Sounds like a bumble bee!
+Bobby Bowers Bumlebee means Eddie ? Hahaha, Thank you!
